Hi there, as you have probably gathered by now, my name is Mark Wild.
Firstly can I start by letting you know that I am not an agent who delegates work off to other DJ’s, from our first point of contact, until the very last song at your wedding reception, it is me and only me you will deal with.
Being a full time professional in this industry gives me the time and the energy I need to excel and grow in the service I provide to my customers, I’m very easy to contact with any questions or queries you might have building up to your wedding day. There’s nothing worse than having to wait for long periods of time for answers, especially when you have so much to organise and prepare.
I’m 36 years young and have been in the entertainment industry since the ripe old age of 21, I worked my first wedding at the age of 22 in Newquay in Cornwall, after a good few years working in Cornwall I decided it was time to up sticks for pastures new and I moved to Tenerife to live and work as a full time DJ/compere. I stayed there for over 5 years working 6 nights a week.
I eventually met my now fiance in the club I was working in, a newly qualified (at that time) nurse from North Lanarkshire. I enticed her to do a Shirley Valentine for 1 year, we then decided to move back to her homelands here in Scotland. Within 2 weeks of living in Scotland I was working as the resident DJ/compere in a local bar.
In 2008 I set up Mark Wild Entertainment, shortly followed by Wedding DJ Glasgow and Wedding DJ Edinburgh. I’ve covered many weddings now in some of Scotland's most prestigious venues, the business is going from strength to strength with bookings already into 2013.
